My name is Gift, but you already knew that, since it’s my username. I love to read and write — another obvious fact, given my Medium account. Every year on August 22nd, I buy a birthday cake to celebrate my birthday . I’m particularly fond of animals, especially dolphins for their cuteness and sharks for their feisty nature — they’re the only fish that’ll try to eat you for no reason at all.
I don’t play any musical instruments, and my singing voice is… let’s just say, ear-piercing. If you ever find yourself in the audience when I’m singing, you might need to seek ear protection — or an audiologist for burst eardrums.

There are many things you’d probably rather not know about me, like my lack of a love life or my current employment status. But, as you can see, I’m not idle — I’ve written this essay, after all. A bit about my background: I’m the second of three children, the first girl, and I’ve lived in Nigeria my whole life .Watermelons are my weakness, while bananas don’t quite do it for me. Writing, on the other hand, is my strength.
Clubs aren’t really my thing — they’re too loud, My dancing skills? Let’s just imagine a drunk clown trying to walk a straight line — that’s pretty much me.
As a Christian, I believe in respecting individual choices. Life is complex, and I’m still figuring out mine. I’m sure you are too, so let’s not judge each other too harshly. After all, why be Mr. Judy Jones?
